The Mini Jar Company would like to announce a very special preserve made from a very specialised product made from succulent Aronia Berries. The berries which are grown by a specialised grower in Kent are “as-picked” straight from the bush, they have not been graded, washed or sorted and, as such, they represent the true spectrum of Aronia Berry shapes and sizes.
Aronia Beries are considered one of the richest sources of plant antioxidants, which are said to offer many health-promoting properties. Aronia Berries (Aronia melanocarpa) or sometime known as Chokeberries are small, Dark Berries that have become popular among health-conscious consumers.
Due to their limited supply we have produced a very limited amount of this product initially to see what the customer verdict is before full production will commence later this year.
Aronia Berries, or Chokeberries, are small, dark fruits that grow on shrubs of the Rosaceae Family. They’re native to North America but now grown in other parts of the world, including across Europe and now directly here in Seven Oaks, Kent.
Traditionally, they were used as cold remedy by Native Americans and the berries have a strong mouth-drying effect, so they’re mainly used to make Juices, Purées, Jams, Jellies, Syrups, Teas, and Wines but are also available as a supplement.
