Bennington Lordship Chilli Festival 2021

It’s on! We have just received our invitation, and booked to exhibit, at the 2021 Benington Chilli Festival. It started way back in 2006 at the stunning Benington Lordship Gardens, near Stevenage and has grown to become the best all round chilli festival in the UK. It is hugely popular with families and attracts thousands of visitors over the three days of the August Bank Holiday.
The event attracts more than 60 of the UK’s best known independent chilli traders offering anything and everything that you can think of with chillies from fresh/dried/smoked chillies, to chutneys, sauces, pickles, seeds, cheese, and chocolate. There is always a delicious selection of hot food available from Mexican, Thai, Cajun, Greek and even Lebanese cuisine. There’s wood oven pizza, spicy sausages, ice cream and even some fantastic chilli and non-chilli drinks from cider through to cocktails.
This is a great place to get chilli plants and there are several traders, including ourselves, offering our range of Artisan Chilli Preserves from mild to wild. There is live entertainment and activities such as face painting for the kids.
For the serious chilli head there is the infamous chilli eating competition. This is held every day at 4pm and is limited to 12 participants on a first come first served basis.

Cost: Adults £8.50. Children: Under 16’s £2.50, Under 12’s Free
Parking: Free; however, they ask that visitors not park anywhere on the roadside or near the green and instead follow signs for parking in the fields directly behind the gardens.

Moseley Farmers’ Market happens on the last Saturday of the month in the centre of Moseley Village. We have over 60 stalls selling a huge range of produce to cater for everyone’s needs; whether it be fruit and vegetables, cheeses and wine, pies and beer, or come for lunch and try succulent pulled pork or for the adventurous – Zebra! Everything available is guaranteed to be local and the produce is reared, grown or processed by the people selling: it’s a certified real Farmers’ Market.
Aside from becoming the social meeting place for much of Moseley every market, It has won many awards, the most prestigious being the FARMA “Best Farmers’ Market in the UK” in 2009 and 2012 – the only market to have won it twice.
