Moseley Farmers’ Market happens on the last Saturday of the month in the center of Moseley Village. We have over 60 stalls selling a huge range of produce to cater for everyone’s needs; whether it be fruit and vegetables, cheeses and wine, pies and beer, or come for lunch and try succulent pulled pork or for the adventurous – Zebra! Everything available is guaranteed to be local and the produce is reared, grown or processed by the people selling: it’s a certified real Farmers’ Market.
Aside from becoming the social meeting place for much of Moseley every market, It has won many awards, the most prestigious being the FARMA “Best Farmers’ Market in the UK” in 2009 and 2012 – the only market to have won it twice.

Belbroughton Scarecrow Festival 2017

Traditionally Belbroughton has held the event on the last weekend in September and this year it will take place on Saturday 30th September and Sunday 1st October 2017. You can expect scarecrow scarecrows and more scarecrows. Their will be a full event programme and there is so much to do it hard to list it. Some highlights include the Rich Goodwin airshow, Knight school, the make and take tent, the classic car show, loads of great music from local bands and solo artists and this years theme is Fables And Fairy Tails.

The cost to visit we are pleased to say are holding the admission price at £10 per vehicle. This covers both safe and secure parking and entrance festival events also a number of local and carefully selected national charities who strike a chord with our village benefit from any surplus we raise. We’ve employed a traffic management company to help get you parked as quickly as possible. For your safety and convenience the areas with “no parking cones” have a legally enforceable parking suspension. We have a number of ex-Police motorbike patrols working throughout the day and also an event incident response unit. Offending vehicles will be issued with a fixed penalty notice and if the vehicle is deemed to be causing an obstruction it may be towed. The Scarecrow Committee has no control over which vehicles get tickets and which get towed and we don’t get any money from parking enforcement’s.

Well-behaved and child-friendly dogs are welcome on a lead. Please keep your dog under control. Ours is a vibrant and bustling village with a number of pubs, clubs and shops all of whom will be plying their wares and we wish them the very best of luck. Your safety is paramount to us, followed closely by providing a quality and value event. Belbroughton Scarecrow Committee that organises the Scarecrow Festival only arranges the events inside the event areas on the trail map. If you are unfortunate enough to have cause for concern with anything outside these areas, please take it up directly with the trader concerned.

This year the event is run by Belbroughton Scarecrow Festival Ltd. This is a not-for-profit limited company and the directors do not draw a salary nor receive any financial gain from the company. So why do it? Well, quite simply it is a legal protection for all parties including the organisers. We are in the process of registering with the charities commission as a charity in our own right, at the moment we distribute all of the proceeds to a number of registered charities and this is taking a little longer than we had hoped so the limited company is the quicker and easier route.

Attractions that will be appeasring at the event can be seen from their events page. They will also be updating our Facebook page as each event and attraction is booked. For up-to-the-minute information about our festival please like or share their Facebook page- Belbroughton Scarecrow Festival

We all know just what a difference the weather can make to the Scarecrow Festival and barring exceptionally heavy rain that could make the event hazardous, then we will be having fun no matter what the weather brings.

Disabled parking is at Church Farm, priority parking for blue badge holders is in the main car park off Hartle Lane – but please be aware this is a stubble field and is uneven. It is unlikely to be suitable for mobility scooters. Please have your blue badge clearly visible and you will be directed to parking close to the event entrances.

Visitors are well catered for with toilets located across the event areas, in the Church Hall and in the car parks.
There will be more toilets and baby changing facilities than ever before, again we’ve listened to the feedback and responded accordingly
